Wrote a short

I finally did it. I have a narrative script I am super stoked about. I initially had the idea back in August which stemmed from a conversation in a group chat with my friends. Sat on it and didn’t really know where to go with it.

This past Saturday I met with my friend Thi to try and write something else. This was our first official writer’s room/writing meetup. We watched a little Bling Empire and then a couple episodes of Master of None and then talked about life and business. Fun times but I felt like a total failure. I went home feeling like it was a fun night but like a failure as writer. I popped a melatonin before going to sleep and thats when an idea hit me. I wrote as fast as I could before I had to sleep. The next morning I continued writing and it felt like I hit a nice wave.

I re-wrote the draft I made in the notes app in Highland 2. Writing in script format made me think about the characters and their actions more so I layered in a couple more things. Thi thinks its good. I think its good. But I guess the real test will be once it’s out in the world. I do think the fact that we can see it and there’s excitement around it is a good sign. At the very least it will be well made.

That’s all for now. More updates on this to come.
